Castlemaine 'Carbine' Stout

Castlemaine 'Carbine' Stout

Post by T-Bone »

For the stout drinkers out there, try this one and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I have only found it at Saint Dan's. (Dan Murphys).
It has flavour in spades - smokey, roasted coffee.
Also, IMO Cascade Stout (Peter Degraves Range) is almost as good, but not quite so rich.

T-Bone,

Thanks for the tip. I bloody love stout and haven't had the chance to try this (well, not that my alcohol-addled brain remembers anyway!).

I might make a trip to Dan's to see if I can't get my hands on some.

Cheers,

Oliver

My Rifle Club gave away a stubby of this as a prize last year, I didn't win and have been meaning to sample one since.

Got one at Murphy's this arvo, agree quite good.

Cheers,
Greg
