I've had a Black Rock Pilsner (750g Dry malt/250g Corn syrup. 22g of Saflager W34/70) sitting in the fermenter for two weeks now brewing at 12 C. No airlock activity for a week and SG at 0.020.
I've tried agitating the wort to stir up the yeast but to no avail. Great tasting brew so it would be a pity to bottle too early. Is racking my next option to try and lower the SG or is there other things i can try?
Any suggstions appreciated.
Cheers

Jack,
have you done a Diacetyl rest? before you rack, increase the temps to 18-20c for a day or two.
The increase in temp should help the yeast finish it off. The diacytl rest is done to remove the diacetyl which produces a toffee flavour which is out of character in a lager.
Then rack and CC for a good few weeks

There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say - unless you insist on saying it. (Anonymous)

Found this interesting article on Diacetyl resting...I am not vouching for it's accuracy but it seems informative...the more I read the more I realise how little I know! cheers....
