Xmas Scores

Post by NTRabbit »

Anyone score any good brewing gear for xmas?

Cousin got me the Grumpys Windjammer Dutch Lager, Boston Cream American Pale Ale and Red Stag Scottish Ale - along with the 1272 American Ale II, 1728 Scottish Ale and 2278 Czech Pilsener Wyeast activator packs!

Three cans of Coopers Draught/Lager on special from the supermarket and i'll be set!

Got Charlie Paps new book "Adventures in Microbrewing" with some nice clone recipies in it. Read a few Chapters and it is pretty good. Mostly little dits rather than formal advice so far

Yard,

The recipies are for all grain and then a converted recipie for extract so it can please everyone.

I also got a couple of late additions, a pair of Tuborg Snifters and two nice Red Maple Lager glasses. I may try and see the brewery on Thursday when I do my yearly pilgramage to TO

I bought (a present to myself) a cheap kit-form one door pantry from WA Salvage that holds two fermenters, a stack of brewing accessories...and a girly calendar on the inside of the door! 8)

Unfortunately I had to acquire the calendar myself, it wasn't a giveaway with the pantry.

Miss January Eva Longoria doesn't seem to mind the smell of fermenting beer, she looks quite happy in her lingerie, standing in her front yard and holding a hose

NT Rabbit,

Boston Cream Ale is a fantastic brew. It's good enough to convince me that its gunna be my staple brew from now on in between experimentals.

I got $100 for Xmas to buy a thermostat. What's the best unit for this around this price.

Also scored me a Muntons Old Conkerwood Black Ale kit (I've heard it's the best black going around). Looking forward to putting that one down once I get my thermostat going.

Cheers,
Jay.
