Mate, I spend half the time wondering whether these shows are actually suitable for kids and the other half wondering if I should spark up a fat one and watch them myself.

It's a strange feeling to be cut off by fire. Usually power is the first thing to go out here on a windy day (i.e. grand final day), but today power yes, road no. I'm now marooned on an island in the several fires that are running out of control in my local area. Not cool.
Nothing to do but relax and have a home brew I suppose.

My old man's unable to get home, either. He flew home from Melbourne today to find the whole state ablaze. His step-kids are at an aunty's place and his wife is at home with the garden hose cranking over the gutters. I'm probably going to end up with a house full of people in the wee hours because the SES are pretty insistent that people get the hell out.
