In the next few months a completely new version of this forum software, phpBB, will be released.

When I upgrade, I'm going to enable private messaging, which will please many of you.

Are there any other features you'd like to see on this forum?

a 'quick reply' box at the bottom of each thread would be nice. do you know what i mean?

really looking forward to PM becoming available, i think it'll really foster the social aspect of the site.

If you're a Firefox user, there is a Greasemonkey script that will let you do this. Have a look for phpBB scripts 'cos theres loads of them. There's also a handy one for ignoring certain users' posts.

This is a new, standard feature of the new version 3 of phpBB.

A search function to locate all posts by member name would be good and, if possible, a link back from the post to the thread it originated in.

How would that differ from functionality there currently is, in that you can search for all posts by a member using the search function?
