Billy,

If you're going to Westbrew, then I'd say you've found the best store around! The guys in there are really helpful and their prices are good.

If you're over Vic Park way then Malthouse is another worth a look.

I agree, West Brew is excellent. However, being a cheap bastard, I get anything I can from Big-W or K-Mart because the prices are so low. Then I go to the HBS for specialist stuff.

I get my supplies from Malthouse on Welshpool road/Welshpool, they even have more than Westbrew.

I live near West brew but am more than happy travelling south of the river to Malthouse Home brew supplies on Welshpool rd in Welshpool . West Brew are ok but for my money I prefer Brian and the staff at Malthouse . The range of goodies at Malthouse are also more impressive than WestBrew . Tell Brian , Justin recommended it . Also spend 500 dollars and get a 25 dollar gift voucher .

cheers juddeye :D

You're right Juddy, I went to westbrew ( only becouse I was in the area ) last week and got no assistance or help at all, more or less 'watya want', Ill be going to Malthouse next time as I have been the last 2 years, Brian and the crew have allways been a good help.

I usualy go to westbrew because its the closest shop to me.

I think how helpfull the people are there depends on who you get.

First time I went the old guy was a big help and talked me through some of the do's and donts for my first brew. Said to call up if I need help with anything which I've done a couple of times and they seemed happy to answer questions.

My only problem with them is they dont seem to have much coopers stuff and my local supermarket doesnt either. I need to get hold some of their brew enchancer 2 :/

i like westbrew because it's where i first got started way back in 2000; the old bloke there gave me lots of help. and being in ozzy park, you're never far from Main St and the great wankhouses there.
