For Sale - Hop Rhizomes

Postby drsmurto » Monday Apr 30, 2012 1:41 pm

Yes, it's that time of the year again when hop rhizomes become available.

3 varieties for sale this year - Chinook, Cascade and Victoria.

Same price as last year (and the year before) - $10 each

1-2 rhizomes will fit in a 500g express post satchel for $10
3+ rhizomes will need to go into a 3kg express post satchel for $13.
Payment is by bank deposit only.

Victoria is a hop many of you will not have heard off. It's an Australian bred variety and is my favourite, it is nothing short of amazing in a (rye) golden ale. Smells and tastes of loqats. Wikipedia tells me the flavour of loquats is a mix of peach, citrus and mild mango.

Send me a PM with your order and I'll reply with bank details. No pick ups allowed.

Edit - forgot to add I WON'T post to WA or Tassie due to quarantine restrictions.

I've identified a perfect spot in my front garden, where a hop vine could climb about 3 to 4 metres, and then wind its way along the front balcony.
However, mrs warra has decidedly different views about that, and has placed a ban on it.I don't understand it but, hey, that's life.
Not wanting to head for the divorce courts, I've had to reluctantly agree.

Sorry, much as I would like, I can't buy any. :( :( :( :(

Warra, would Mrs Warra accept a passion fruit vine or grape vine? If so plant with the "unknowing" hop cane making sure only one makes it! :D
It could at least delay the divorce court.
Cheers BB
