From a UK based brewing forum this morning:

I see John Mortimer has pegged it at the age of 85. He'll be remembered as a novelist, playwright, raconteur ... but most importantly for coming up with the term She Who Must Be Obeyed to describe one's wife. I reckon that deserves a pint raised in his memory.

Admittedly Mortimer himself only drank champagne, being a socialist. But nobody's perfect.

Any excuse is a good excuse for me! I have one week of leave left so I'm catching up on all the beers I've missed while driving the tribe interstate so it'll do for now!!
