Yes, just another excuse to increase the taxes and just like smoking, ban alcohol sponsorship in sport or whatever.. I just recently went on the tour of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery and we got shown this 1 vat of rum in this bond store(it held 65 vats), this particular vat held 65 000 litres of 80% rum and the rum in it was worth $6 000 000 when sold in bottle/cans whatever.. Anyhow, of that $6 000 000, the Goverment takes $4 000 000... And thats only 1 vat...

You can't smoke responsibly but you CAN drink responsibly! Its like the new taxes they are pushing for fast food. AGAIN they wont to hurt people like me that can drink and eat responsibly and find the right balance. But they expect me to pay and look after those that can't.

What is the acceptable daily limit for smoking??? Same as alcohol???

I worked in a country club in my youth,and I saw the judge,and other well to do drink the scoch and wine..and at times more than a few. Then they would drive home blitsed like it was nothing. Yet they will throw you in the county jail for being a dirty drunk. go figure

Mate, I smoked a packet of Winnie Reds every day. That was 10+ years ago - and I've kicked the habit thanks to patches. Even now when I"m in a boozer with other smokers I don't get the hunger, even if I'm er pissed, like I am now!! One very nice keg of kolsch is being demolished glass by glass!!
