Postby Pom » Friday Jan 23, 2009 4:22 pm

Off to tazi for the long weekend. Any suggestions on good watering holes around hobart. Have book tickets to take a tour of cascade brewery, should be fun.
Also has anyone been to the Mt. Bulla beer festival before. Im thinking of booking some accomidation up the hill next sat so I can go and sample some new tastes?
Thats all
Cheers Pom.

Yep I second Taz's post, and try an Ironhouse PA for a Tasmanian microbrewery experience. A top drop IMHO.

Cheers Guys
Have just got back from the market where I have been consuming a few Boags Wizards.
Only have a few days so will try to get to the new sydney hotel before I leave. Off to the Ball and Chain for tucker tonight and going to get some nice sea food for the bar-b tomorrow.
I like tazi reminds me a little of home and very picturesque. Would love to have more time here will have to come back for longer.
Cheers guys

You must find Moo Brew if you have not already tried the offerings. The Dark is my fav but they are all very good beers!
Prost and happy brewing!

Back home now but have booked some more flights to go back in march. There is far to much to see and need more time. Did however try a few pots of the First Harvest at the Cascade brewry. Not a bad brew. Another english freind of mine had told me about moo's brew but didn't get to try it, will try and find some on my return trip. Have booked five days this time to give me a little more time to explore a little.

I have certainly had better, but for an Aussie Hefe it is quite nice, and in fact the best commercial example from our soil, IMHO.
