Holy crap. I've been using a no-name dishwasher powder - basically just alkaline salts - and I've been getting good results, or so I thought. That percarbonate stuff looks to be the shiznit.

Given that my LHBS are a bit of a rort with their prices *cough*brewcraft*cough*, can someone here recommend a supermarket product that contains sufficient percarbonate to do the job properly? Will no-name napisan cut the mustard in this case?

Yes it will Lachy, if the active is sodium percarbonate. Have a read back through page 1 for more info. I still can't bring myself to no-rinse with it though. Sorry matr

Moving to kegs in the future so will look at other options then.
Cheers

The Coopers brand sanitiser is Sodium Percarbonate, at least according to the label

Sorry I better clarify. I use 100% sodium perc as a no rinse.

When I use napisan or the like I rinse and use Iodophor as a sanitiser.

Cheers, Mat.

No response, and I understand why. having read a lot of info. Starsan has alot of very very positive raps. Can you get it it SA,? NO, why because the limited numbers of brew suppliers want to rip you off. We all know who, a non rinse sanitizer bottle 250ml, requires 30 ml/l for use for $7.40 per bottle, What a joke. Anyway have order starsan from interstate.
Cheers BB
