In case anybody wants to re-create Speedie's recipe and can't be buggered scaling, a normal batch (23L) would look something similar to:

4.250 kg Pale Malt
0.250 kg Wheat Malt
0.125 kg Crystal

24g NZ Hallertau (5.6%AA) @ 45 minutes
48g NZ Hallertau (5.6%AA) @ 15 minutes

...give or take.

without beersmith i would have divided 23 liters by 380 litres to come up with a multiplier of .06 then appllied that to my grainbill and hop additions
it all comes out in the wash
cheers

Probably why Beersmith was invented.

But maybe I'm stupid or something - stuck in my ways.
