Free HB gear

To any hombebrewers living in Perth WA, I have three x 20 litre fermenters and a bottle-drying tree to give away, all in good condition. I live in Como (near Canning Highway). If anyone is interested, can you please email me at scnanderson@hotmail.com. First in, first served.

Gregb,

I sampled it on the weekend and it was great. Will make it again for sure.

My only complaint is the set wasn't long enough, but it must have been at least 90 minutes...

Saw Radio Birdman last night in Perth - they were smokin'. The band is still as tight as ever.

Looking forward to the new album and seeing them play again.

Gregb,

I recently bottled this brew. How long do you think before it reaches its prime?

Interesting posts guys, thanks (I use Beersmith as well, when I'm not slacking off with kits). Even if there was no definitive answer! :)

Brewfirm kits at Malthouse WA

Malthouse in Welshpool WA now stock Brewfirm kits from Belgium, as well as candy sugar (which is recommended for use in some Belgian kits). If you are into Belgian beers they may be worth a go.

(I'm not connected with Malthouse, its just my local HBS).

Jeez, just thinking, Mick Malthouse has ...

For white wine I like rieslings, champagne. I like most reds, from rose through to shiraz. I also like dessert wines, sauternes etc (De Bortoli Noble One is one of Australia's best wines I reckon).

Coffee's good. I am yet to develop an espresso stout recipe - one day...

Not really into spirits.

Brewferm

Hi All

I bought Brewferm product for the first time yesterday. I got the Triple and 500g of candy sugar. I was wondering if anyone has brewed using Brewferm before and what they thought of it?

Cheers

I heard a story that the Encyclopaedia Britannica was banned in Texas because it had a recipe for homebrew in it (and home brew was illegal there) but I didn't believe it.

So, you can carry a concealed pistol but homebrew, oh no that's against the law...

Apparently it was illegal in the US until Jimmy Carter (a beer enthusiast) legalised it in the 70's - what an elightened decade.

Unfortunately I had to acquire the calendar myself, it wasn't a giveaway with the pantry.

Miss January Eva Longoria doesn't seem to mind the smell of fermenting beer, she looks quite happy in her lingerie, standing in her front yard and holding a hose

I bought (a present to myself) a cheap kit-form one door pantry from WA Salvage that holds two fermenters, a stack of brewing accessories...and a girly calendar on the inside of the door! 8)
