I do the Grumpy's brews often and I boil the bag for 10 minutes, let sit for about 30 to cool down slightly then strain into the fermenter with a tin
and they always come out nice
Dags - do you stop in for beers very regularly at Grumpys? I drive past every day to and from work and find it very hard not to stop in and have a pint. Or talk to Brad or Voosher about beer. Or both. Been to a Stammtisch yet?

I am only a couple of minutes away but I dont get in there very often ...
I am the same, I dont go to the brewcrafts much at all
stop in at Brewmaker when I get the chance and Jovial Monk as they both stock Morgans and Coopers (unlike brewcraft )
other shop of choice is grumpys as I am only a couple of minutes away

I am still using a Brigalow plastic fermenter that I bought in 1993, had about a 5 year break but it is still going strong
is clean, no scratches and every beer that has come out of it has been good, probably do a dozen beers a year in that particular fermenter

there is a reason that the brewcraft stores dont sell Coopers stuff, I was told that the brewcraft chain is partly owned by Hahn :roll: the Holden Hill store sells the Thomas Coopers stuff
for me, Grumpys is the closest and most convenient, so I generally do a few masterbrews dont go to brewcraft ...
Driven past that a few times - was wondering when it would open. Will have to drop in on the way home one night and see if the porter gets close to Grumpys Black Betty. They've set the bar pretty damn high.....

a new microbrewery has just opened up in the Adelaide Hills at Lobethal I was driving past this arvo and I dropped in for a look a very nice set up, you can see all the equipment behind glass I had a Pale Ale and the missus had a Porter but they were both very tasty it is called the Lobethal ...
I just don't like green glass. I feel better with brown, even if my beer isn't going to be exposed to UV. Go figure. :oops:
I got given about a dozen Grolsch bottles from an elderly mate of mine and he must have had them for a while as they are brown glass I cant recall when Grolsch came in brown ...
had holidays in Vanuatu a couple of years ago and I didnt mind this drop
I still have a full stubby sitting on the wall unit, probably wont crack it now though
I just got given 40 grolsch swingtops by a mate and the same mate also gave me another 40 about 3 months ago
too many for me so I am offloading 20 of them to my neighbour
