I've recently got my hands on Beer Smith. I'm havin fun with it, trying different things and new ideas. But one question I have is... If Dextrose is fully fermentable (which I thought it was) why when you enter it into a recipe using Beer Smith does the Bitterness Ratio change?

Yeah, I'm starting to think that might be my best option.
I guess if ya want good brew, then using good quality products will go a long way to help achieve that.
I've read some good comments about Ross. Good place to start ya rekon?

G'day everyone.
I've always just used the kit yeast (only done 10 brews) and this time I'm wanting to try a different/better yeast. The question I have is... If the place I buy my ingrediants from isn't storing their yeast packs in a fridge, how much better quality are they goin to be then the kit ...

Thanks mate, that's probably a good idea.
Do ya rekon if I went all of the Cascade I should chuck say 15g in @ 20min, then the last 15g in @10? Or am I way off the mark?

Ok, so this is only the second time I've used some extra hops and grains. So a bit of help would be greatly appreciated on comming up with something that taste ok.

I dunno if this helps ya, but I found the blokes at 'Brew Your Own at Home' to be pretty helpful. They're in shop 5 Kambah Village. Gave me some good advice when I was first getting into brewing.
