Re: New Chest Freezer

The fridgemate's are great, i use one to control my lager fridge and keep it at a constant 14 degreees, very simple to set and can also be used to heat if connected to a heater. I had an electrician at work wire it up for me and put in a small box for looks - came up a treat and for only 6 vb cans ...

Re: When is my Gas bottle Empty

Thanks TL, I just found the TW stamp on my new bottle - hidden right at the top and marked at TW 21 KG. The old bottle was at 21.3 and thus had only 0.3 kg left. I connected the new bottle and the regulator is reading just under 800 PSI. So to answer my question - a full 6kg bottle of c02 weighs in ...

Re: When is my Gas bottle Empty

The Gauge reading zero is the large scale gauge 0 - 3000 PSI. When I first got the bottle it was on about 700 PSI and is now 0. Yes I have regulated the pressure into the Keg at my pouring pressure of about 5PSI.

Re: When is my Gas bottle Empty

Thanks guys, my gas cylinder is not in the fridge and the weight of 21.3kg was the actual weighed weight of my clyinder as I didn't weigh it when I got it (idiot!!!). What is the typical full weight of a 6kg cylinder?

cheers

Re: When is my Gas bottle Empty

Thanks Lance , my bottle is 6Kg and weighs 21.3 kg - any idea how full or empty this would be?
Unfortunately I didn't weigh it when I got it.

Also what is the idea of the pressure gauge for the bottle - does this signify full or empty?

Cheers

Re: Kegging Virgin

Thanks guys. I have removed the join by getting my home brew shop guy Mark replace from tap to disconnect with 3m of 6mm line. The beer pours better but the first glass is always half full of froth. Is this normal? The gas in the beer line seems to rise up to the highest point (as it would) causing ...

When is my Gas bottle Empty

This probably sounds like a dumb question, but how do I know when my gas bottle is empty. I guess the obvious answer is when no more gas comes out!!
I have a dual gauge regulator and when i open the gas to fill Keg the Gas bottle gauge reads 0. I have only done about 5 X 19L kegs and thought the gas ...

Re: Kegging Virgin

Thanks guys, I hooked up my second gun yesterday with a new connect and it too has a join. I used 2m of 6mm line and it poured an uncarbonated keg well with no spitting. I will try again today once it is carbonated. Thanks for the feedback and tips.
Cheers

Kegging Virgin

Hi beer lovers!! I've just bought a kegarator and have now kegged 4 (19L) brews. My problem is that most pours are all very frothy and I'm wasting a lot of beer trying to pour a glass.
I've been following this method of force carbonation:
1) fill Keg : From fermenter tap to keg with poly line direct ...
