Malted or unmalted roasted barley
Hi all, been a long time out of the homebrew scene, but just retired and have a bit more time, so back into it. About to do a Coopers recipe (https://www.diybeer.com/au/recipe/mister-sinister.html )that I did a few years back and turned out very good. Went to my local HBS today for the roasted ...

Re: fermenting time
Starting gravity was 1060, checked gravity the other day, not quite 2 weeks in the fermenter, was 1020, still bubbling today, will bring the temp up a bit to try and finish it off. I was worried about the temp when I started as Adelaide was in the middle of a heat wave, but probably over did it with ...

Hi all. See a lot of questions here about brews not starting fermenting, but mine does'nt seem to want to stop, been 2 weeks now, still bubbling. Its a dark ale, from the Coopers recipe website, mister sinister, I've always had brews ready to bottle in a week, was wondering if the reason this is ...

Also, anyone know why bottles and bottle merchants were referred to as marines/marine dealers?

Re: Pickaxe and other returnable bottles
Thanks for that post Oliver, great info. Was wondering if anyone has seen the green Pickaxe longnecks. I was given 3 dozen some time back, was told they were made especially for home brew, but don't know if that's correct. They are the same as other 750ml ones but green.

Wetpack not fermenting?
Hi all, did my first TCB wetpack Saturday, an IPA, only ever done brews from the can till now, trouble is I stuffed up the boil time, took so long on the camp cooker to get to the boil that I lost track of actual simmering time and added the hops then the "grain juice" after only about 40 mins of ...
