Liquid Dinner

Hey Guys,

I just got back from Dan Murphy's and whilst I was there I was going to grab a bottle of Jim Beam or something, but instead I thought I would have a beer dinner. I grabbed a single bottle of 6 beers that I have read about on here as being delicious or people asking for clones

I got
1 x ...

1 can screamer....

Hey guys,

I was reading about 2 can screamers i.e. no sugar just 2 cans into 20 litres,

does this then mean I could do 1 can into 11.5lites? with no sugar?

If so would I still boil some water and bitter it? add aroma hop etc? and then just add the extract into the water at the end?

Do you still need to add some yeast?

To do a 46L brew you'd have to use every ingredient listed at the top to get a full strength beer.

I would throw it all in then add:

30g Willamette @ 15
30g Hersbrucker @ 5
30g Hersbrucker dry hopped

By the way do you really have 8kgs of hops?

Cheers,

And yes, I have approx 8 Kgs of pellets ...

Thanks Pale,

It was only in the freezer for about 40 minutes - In the bottle before I chilled it, it was crystal clear, but once chilled and poured into a glass........

First Home Brew Completed

Hey Guys,

Just after some quick advice, I had a taste of my first brew, it was a MSB Two Row Wheat Lager - no hops or any other additives, it was brewed on the 23/12 and then bottled on the 31/12. I had one last night and I was actually quite impressed.

However I have a couple of quick questions ...

Good News - but need more help

Hi Guys,

Ok, if some of you remember, I have 2 75L fermenters but they had a "varnish" type smell to them. I have taken your advice and soaked them in bleach for 1 week and the smell has gone and no left over bleach smell either. WOOO HOOOO

Ok, now the problem I have is the drum are not labeled ...

I know I am a noob to the home brewing game, but after talking to my dad last night - he is one of the head scientists at Lion Nathan - he advised the best way would be to try to get the beer to foam up when putting into the bottle. Then cap with the foam flowing out. This is reduce the amount of ...
