Re: making mixers
theres a product called flavour burst which comes in a variety of flavours. all u need to do is add vodka and soda. they make around 5 litres i think. i think queensland brewing company puts them out.

Re: PET Vs. Glass
i have found no difference in the taste of the brew in using PET and glass bottles, although if left for more then 9 months it starts to loose pressure. for me it only feels weird drinking a beer out of a squeezable bottle. easy solution to that is to put it in a glass!

Re: Making a good Wild Turkey
sounds pretty good! should try it myself.
could possibly add instead of the american bourbon essences try the edwards scrub turkey essence. i find that quite nice as it is anyway. just a thought.
cheers

T500 still
G'day guys,
ive just read about a new still put out by Still Spirits called the Turbo 500.
it apparently is alot more efficient and after discarding the first 50ml u just let it go (u still need to keep an eye out for the temp) untill the out flow of alcohol stops.
has anyone heard any reports about ...

Re: Air Still
i agree with davidp.
i have one myself and i think that the quality is not as great as a reflux or pot still.
i did run the spirit through the carbo an extra time or 2 and it improved the taste,
otherwise not too bad to start off with
